Arthroscopic Hip Procedure

Arthroscopic Hip Procedure provides relief and significant improvement for a variety of hip conditions. In the past, patients suffering from hip problems that were less severe but nevertheless debilitating, were forced to live with the hip pain until a total hip replacement was required.
The Arthroscopic Hip Procedure is a less invasive treatment option that can provide significant improvement for a number of conditions.

Through an incision the width of a straw tip, an inspection scope is inserted in to the hip joint, to locate the source of the pain. A few (2-4) small incisions are then made to accommodate the instruments used to treat the hip. These instruments can shave, trim, cut, stitch or smooth the damaged areas. Procedures are performed in specialized theatres. Only one day and overnight hospital stay is required.
